◆FAQ

How dose a hydraulic chuck work?

The hydraulic chuck is connected to a hydraulic pump or hydraulic system within the CNC machine. This pump supplies hydraulic fluid under pressure to the chuck.

When the operator or CNC program initiates the clamping sequence, hydraulic fluid is pumped into the hydraulic cylinder.
The pressure from the hydraulic fluid forces the piston within the cylinder to move.
As the piston moves, it causes the clamping jaws to close and grip the workpiece securely.

When the machining operation is completed, the hydraulic fluid is drained from the cylinder, causing the piston to retract. This action opens the clamping jaws, allowing the workpiece to be removed easily.
