Hydraulic chucks are critical for CNC lathes and grinders. Their performance directly affects machining accuracy, efficiency, and safety.

 

1. Accuracy Indicators

Repeat Clamping Accuracy: Radial runout difference when clamping the same part multiple times.

Standard: ≤0.01–0.03 mm, high precision ≤0.005 mm.

Centering Accuracy (Runout): Difference between workpiece axis and spindle axis after one clamping.

Crucial for thin-wall parts and precision finishing.

 

2. Force & Speed Indicators

Max. Clamping Force: Maximum gripping force at rated pressure (kN). Must exceed cutting force to avoid slipping.

Max. Speed (RPM): Safe speed limit. Exceeding may cause failure.

Centrifugal Force Compensation: Maintains clamping force at high speed; essential for high-speed cutting.

Jaw Stroke: Max. radial travel of jaws; determines workpiece size range.

Rigidity & Anti-Vibration: Reduces deformation and vibration; vital for heavy cutting.

Service Life & Maintainability: Wear resistance of slides, wedge, seals; ease of part replacement.

Compatibility: Spindle mount types (A2-5, A2-6, A2-8) and jaw options (soft, hard, special jaws).
